CITY OF STERLING CITY
Notice is hereby given of a Regular Meeting of the Sterling City Council to be held
August 12, 2019, beginning at 6:00 p.m. in the Sterling County Appraisal District Office, 616 4th Street, Sterling City, Texas, for the purpose of considering the following agenda items. All agenda items are subject to action.
1. CALL TO ORDER
Mayor Horwood, Councilmembers; Guetersloh, Stevens, Smith, Rodriguez, Green and Hodges.
2. INVOCATION - The invocation will be given by a member of the City Council.
3. PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE - The Pledge of Allegiance will be led by a member of the City Council.
5. PUBLIC COMMENTS (Limited to five minutes per person.)
6. CONSENT AGENDA (All consent agenda items are considered routine by City Council and will be enacted by one motion.)
(a) Discuss, consider and possibly act on the minutes of the regular council meeting held on July 8, 2019. – M. Arizola
(b) Discuss, consider and possibly act on the accounts payable and financial reports. - M. Arizola
(c) Discuss, consider and possibly act on working with Live Oak Public Finance for the City financials. – Council Member C. Green
(d) Discuss, consider and possibly act on proposing the 2019-2020 tax rate. – M. Arizola
(e) Discuss, consider and possibly act on all aspects of awarding employees a merit pay for the demo of the Municipal Building after working hours. – Council Member G. Rodriguez
(f) Discuss, consider and possibly act on purchasing a generator at a new rate. – R. Seals
(g) Discuss, consider and possibly act on purchasing a road paver. – Mayor L. Horwood
7. OLD BUSINESS
(a) Discuss, consider and possibly act on all aspects of the Municipal Building. – City Council
(b) Discuss, consider and possibly act on all aspects of the FY 2019-2020 Financial Budget. – City Council
(a) Discuss, consider and possibly adopt Resolution 081219, regarding the Homecoming Parade.

The City Council reserves the right to meet in closed session on any agenda item should the need arise and if applicable pursuant to authorization by Title 5, Chapter 551, of the Texas Government Code.
